🍰 Oahu Bakes & Brew – Bakery Policies

Deposits & Payments

A minimum of one week’s notice is required for all orders, regardless of size. Orders placed with less notice may be subject to a rush fee of $30–$50, depending on the cake design.
Your initial deposit secures your event date and is non-refundable and non-transferable. Orders are not confirmed until the deposit is received.
The remaining balance must be paid 72 hours prior to your event date. Failure to submit final payment by this deadline will void the contract, and the deposit will be forfeited.
The final payment date is also the last day to make changes to cake size, design, or flavors. Any changes requested after this date may not be guaranteed and may incur additional charges.
Non-payment of the balance by the deadline releases Oahu Bakes & Brew from fulfilling your order.

Deliveries

Complimentary delivery is available for orders $150+ to Ko Olina (Disney Aulani, Four Seasons, Beach Villas, Marriott) and nearby residences.
Standard delivery is available within 30 miles of Kapolei. Delivery fees are based on mileage, time, and setup requirements.
Deliveries must be arranged at the time of booking or as soon as possible thereafter. Same-day delivery requests cannot be guaranteed.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery details and ensuring the venue is open and accessible. Waiting time beyond 10 minutes may incur a charge of $50/hour.
If no one is available to accept the order, it will be returned to the bakery and rescheduled at an additional cost.
Oahu Bakes & Brew is not liable for delivery delays caused by accidents, natural disasters, inclement weather, illness, traffic, strikes, or any circumstance beyond our control. In such cases, liability is limited to the cost of the order.
Once delivered, Oahu Bakes & Brew is not responsible for the product. Please designate a responsible party to accept and care for the cake upon arrival.

Uber Deliveries

If you have selected Uber delivery, Oahu Bakes & Brew will coordinate with an Uber driver on your behalf.
You will be provided with the driver’s contact information prior to delivery so you may coordinate directly if needed.
Once the cake is released to the driver, Oahu Bakes & Brew is not responsible for handling, delays, or damagesthat may occur in transit. Any concerns must be taken up directly with the driver or Uber.
Uber deliveries will follow the same time windows as our in-house deliveries, but exact arrival times cannot be guaranteed.

Pick-Up

Orders must be picked up within the designated time window. Late arrivals may incur a late fee.
Once your cake leaves the bakery, Oahu Bakes & Brew is not responsible for damage during transport or setup.
Cakes should be placed on a flat, cool surface (car floorboard is best) and kept away from heat and direct sunlight.
You will receive handling and storage instructions at pick-up. Failure to follow these guidelines voids liability for any damage.

Set-Up

Placement of customer-provided flowers or décor is available for an additional fee. Please note: fresh flowers are not food products and may contain pesticides, insects, or contaminants.
Customers must ensure that cake tables and display pieces are ready before our arrival. We do not provide full table décor (linens, draping, lighting).
Additional setup requests may incur extra fees.

Changes & Cancellations

Date changes may be accommodated depending on availability and sufficient notice. New dates are not guaranteed.
If we are fully booked on your new date, the deposit and any payments are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Cancellations at any time after booking will result in forfeiture of the deposit. Orders canceled within 72 hours of the event are non-refundable in full.
Changes to the design, cake size, and cake filling must be made at least 7 days prior to cake pick up

Design & Artistic Interpretation

Each order is hand-crafted and reflects the artistic style of our decorators. While we welcome inspiration photos, exact replication is not guaranteed.
Decorative finishes, colors, and placements may vary slightly as part of the creative process.

Cake Decorations

Customers are responsible for removing all non-edible décor (cake toppers, ribbons, wires, skewers, dowels, rhinestones, etc.) prior to serving.
Some decorations may be made of edible materials but are not intended for consumption.
Upon delivery or pick-up, our team will point out any non-edible items that must be removed.
Customers assume full responsibility for monitoring children and guests around decorative items.

Allergies

All products are prepared in a kitchen that handles nuts, wheat, soy, dairy, eggs, dyes, and other allergens.
We cannot guarantee any product will be free from cross-contamination.
It is the customer’s responsibility to inform guests of this allergy information. Oahu Bakes & Brew will not be liable for allergic reactions.

Weather & Environment

Heat and humidity can affect cakes and baked goods.
Cakes should be kept in air-conditioned environments. Fondant cakes should not be refrigerated.
Customers assume responsibility for damage caused by improper storage or extreme weather.

Damages, Liability & Disputes

Once a cake has been picked up, delivered, or released to a third party (Uber driver, hotel staff, family member, etc.), Oahu Bakes & Brew is no longer responsible for damages.
Liability for any claim is strictly limited to the cost of the order and will not cover consequential damages, emotional distress, or loss of event enjoyment.
Any disputes must be submitted in writing within 24 hours of delivery or pick-up with accompanying photos. Claims submitted after this time frame cannot be honored.

Photography & Marketing

Oahu Bakes & Brew reserves the right to photograph all products and use images for marketing and promotional purposes without compensation to the client.
